Advanced Dental Implant Procedures – Denver, CO

Building A Strong Foundation For Results That Can Last A Lifetime

Clinical studies have shown that dental implants from RiNo Dental can last for several decades with the proper maintenance and thorough preparatory planning. Our team takes the time to make sure that your mouth is in tip-top shape before we schedule your implant surgery. That way, we’re able to help you achieve ideal results with little to no complications along the way. We understand just how important teeth are, and we want you to be able to replace yours with the best solution. During your initial consultation, we’ll gather countless images of your mouth and facial structure to determine whether an advanced dental implant procedure can resolve any lingering issues keeping you from having your implants placed.

Bone Grafting

The predominate reason why dental implants have a 95 percent success rate is because, with the right conditions, the titanium posts are able to naturally fuse with your jawbone through a process called osseointegration. This guarantees a firm, tight, and secure hold that keeps your restorations from shifting or slipping from their intended positions. During your surgery, each implant will be placed into your jawbone in place of your natural tooth root. This will stimulate the area and provide continued bone growth, allowing each implant to fuse with your jawbone.

When you lose teeth, the area of the jawbone that isn’t being stimulated by a root will begin to deteriorate. This can lead to an important issue when it comes to dental implant surgery—that there isn’t enough bone for the fusion of your implants to your jaw to be successful.

Luckily, when you visit Dr. Franz for your consultation, we’ll take several images to determine if your bone is thick enough to support the most vital part of the procedure. If not, bone grafting is a surgical procedure that can renew the density of your jaw. Your surgeon will take a small piece of bone from another location in your body and transfer it to your treatment area. They will then close up your gums to allow a healing period where the graft will incorporate with your existing bone. After several months pass, you’ll have a sturdy and strong base to support your implants.

Sinus Lift

If you have been missing teeth in your upper arch, we may determine from our images that there isn’t enough bone by your maxillary sinuses to place your implants without penetrating the cavities. In this case, we may suggest a sinus lift at RiNo. During this procedure, your surgeon will add bone to the back of your mouth near your upper molars.

To access the area, your gum tissue will be opened to allow a small oval to be made into it. Your sinus membrane will then be gently lifted upward, and a graft material will be placed into the hole. Once your gum tissue is stitched to heal, you’ll go through a several month-long recovery before you’ll be ready to replace your missing teeth with dental implants.

Whether you need a sinus lift of bone graft at RiNo, we’ll do everything we can to make you feel comfortable, relaxed, and well-cared for. We want to ensure that your mouth is as healthy as possible before your surgery so your implants will have the opportunity to last you a lifetime.
