Helps You Maintain Your Teeth for Life

As much as we all wish that achieving a healthy, confident smile could be as easy and fast as completing a race, it’s not – it’s a lifelong job that requires plenty of work and maintenance. And while you may never LOVE visiting the dentist, finding the right one for your personal needs and lifestyle can make this job a lot easier over time. At RiNo Dental, Dr. Bryant Franz has established a modern, comfortable atmosphere where patients can feel at ease. With the help of comprehensive checkups, refreshing cleanings, and other preventive dentistry services, it’s our team’s goal to help you sidestep major dental problems and enjoy your smile to the fullest. Reach out to us here in the RiNo neighborhood to set up a time to visit.

CHECKUPS & CLEANINGS

Dental problems can be tricky, and even brushing and flossing every day can’t provide your smile with 100% protection. That’s why visiting a dentist every six months on average (or twice a year) for checkups and cleanings are a good idea. Dr. Franz will review your oral health with you in-depth and help you understand any treatments you need so that you can keep living life to the fullest outside of our office.

DENTAL SEALANTS

For people with especially sensitive and cavity-prone teeth, maintaining a healthy smile is tougher than usual. Dental sealants are a simple and effective service that can provide some help in these cases. These tough “seals” cover the chewing surfaces of certain teeth (typically the back teeth) and keep out food particles that like to cling there and cause trouble. Sealants are easy and painless to apply, and they can last for several years.

NIGHTGUARDS FOR BRUXISM

Maybe you’ve never heard of bruxism, but you probably know it by its layman’s term – teeth grinding. Plenty of people, old and young alike, grind their teeth from time to time, especially busy professionals who have a lot of daily stress. You might not even know you’re doing it because grinding tends to happen at night when you’re sleeping. In order to protect your smile from damage, we can provide you with a personalized nightguard that keeps the teeth from connecting and helps you rest easy.

SPORTSGUARDS

Are you a passionate athlete? If so, we hope you’re protecting your teeth like you do your knees, elbows, and head. A big chunk of dental-related injuries happen because of sports, after all. If not, don’t pick up any old mouthguard from the store – talk to Dr. Franz about having a custom-made sportsguard created. These devices are strong, comfortable, and custom-made, providing plenty of reliable protection so that you can stay focused on the game ahead without worry.

PERIODONTAL THERAPY

Many people don’t know this, but periodontal disease (also known as gum disease) is actually one of the most widespread health problems in the entire world. It’s more common than arthritis, diabetes, heart disease, and even cancer. While it typically starts out simple (bleeding gums, tissues that look red or swollen, etc), it can get out of control faster than you’d think, causing tooth loss and other serious consequences. Dr. Franz will be sure to let you know if he thinks you’re at risk during checkups, and treatment is available to keep the infection under control.

Scaling and root planing is the most common service for treating gum disease, and it can basically be thought of as an in-depth cleaning – except, instead of focusing on the tooth surfaces, we go underneath the gum line. By removing bacteria from these hard-to-reach areas and smoothing the tooth roots too (which are big targets for plaque), your smile has a much greater chance of recovering and staying healthy.

SEDATION DENTISTRY

We get it – dental care isn’t fun. We’re not in denial about that, but we do want to help you have a relaxed and comfortable experience whenever you need to come into our office. If you’re feeling scared or anxious about a procedure, ask Dr. Franz or a team member about sedation dentistry. We offer oral conscious sedation that can soothe your frazzled nerves and help you undergo care safely and calmly. After the effects wear off, some patients find that their memories of their appointment are fuzzy as well, which is good news to them.

DENTAL EMERGENCIES

Dental emergencies can happen at any time – what matters is that there’s someone nearby who can help when they strike. At RiNo Dental, we’ll get you in as soon as possible, and our location in Denver's RiNo Art District makes us accessible to a wide variety of homes and workplaces when time is of the essence. If you’re in need of help, don’t hesitate to let us know!
